PACE+ST3: Student/Parent-Guardian

The student/parent-guardian should look at PACE+ST3 as a great opportunity to combine both education and technical ability.  The program affords the student to work with and be guided by and a high visibility national organization, PACE +, and the local collision repair industry.  Here is a general overiew of the PACE+ST3 sequence of events bringing the student from career awareness to full-time employment.

 

The Benefits to the Student include:

  • Focused competency-based program
  • Work with employed mentors for live work experience
  • Career path possibilities
  • Employment opportunities

The Responsibilities of The Student include:

  • Perform assignments within frame work of curriculum and task lists
  • Keep work schedule the employer has assigned
  • Arrange reliable transportation
  • Maintain daily/weekly reports as assigned
  • Maintain academic studies and attendence
  • Demonstrate skill competency

The student’s parent/guardian have great influence in supporting the

PACE+ST3 program.  They should have a thorough understanding of the program and should interface with all principles to include school, business, instructor, and administration.

Benefits to the Parent/Guardian include:

  • Student learns responsibility, discipline, being on time, financial matters
  • Sees great opportunity for student to interface with local and national organizations
  • Enthusiastic about student career opportunities
  • Supports program that is directed by industry “professionals”

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities would include:

  • Support/direct student to carry out responsibilities
  • Keep contact with instructor re: questions and answers
  • Strongly encourage student to set-up budget, control affairs
  • Show interest, and support student’s initiatives
