PPG CONTRIBUTES $5,000 TO THE I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT COLLISION EDUCATION

Hoffman Estates, IL – February 6, 2009– PPG has displayed their commitment to “Fueling the Future” of the collision industry by contributing $5,000 to the I-CAR Education Foundation. PPG’s contribution is an investment into the entire industry as this enhances the I CAR Education Foundation’s ability to offer grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges and the students attending these schools. By increasing educational opportunities for these students, who are tomorrow’s industry professionals, the future will be brighter for all segments.

“PPG and the I-CAR Education Foundation have had a long partnership in funding programs for students in collision education,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “Despite concerns about the economy and the industry, they are one of our first donors in 2009 and we sincerely appreciate their commitment and dedication.”

“All of us from PPG understand the essential role the I-CAR Education Foundation performs in the collision repair industry,” said Bill Troyer, PPG Training Manager. “We are proud to support this organization that will help future technicians achieve their full potential in the workplace.”
