ARIZONA REPAIR FACILITIES’ DONATIONS HELP DEVELOP LOCAL TECHNICIANS THROUGH THE I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION’S COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION CAMPAIGN
Hoffman Estates, IL – October 23, 2008– Thanks to the generous contributions of the Arizona Collision Industry, three schools in Arizona were able to receive curriculum and props through the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign. By using the I-CAR Live Curriculum, students receive the same up-to-date training enjoyed by collision technicians employed in the industry.
The three schools benefiting from the donations were:
Sunnyside High School, Tucson, AZ
East Valley Institute of Technology, Mesa, AZ
Metro Tech High School, Phoenix, AZ
The effort was spearheaded by the Phoenix I-CAR Committee. In order to make it more personal, each set of curriculum and props were hand delivered by a member of the Phoenix I-CAR Committee.
“By donating to the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign, this is a great way local professionals can make a difference in our community and our industry,” said Tom Lantz, Phoenix I-CAR Committee Chairman. “It is important to know that our local donations are going to a good cause here in Arizona. Thanks again to all the businesses that donated to the Collision Repair Education Campaign.”
“The I-CAR Education Foundation’s goal is for entry-level collision workers to be as efficient and productive as possible,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “Thanks to the efforts of the Arizona Collision Industry, collision students in Arizona will now have access to the best training materials and will be able to maximize their potential.”
The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to securing donations that support philanthropic and collision repair education activities that promote and enhance career opportunities in the industry.
