Education Foundation News: 2007 Education Foundation Press Releases: November 15, 2007 GEICO INSURANCE CONTRIBUTES $10,000 TO THE I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THE COLLISION INDUSTRY Hoffman Estates, IL– November 15, 2007– GEICO Insurance contributed $10,000 in October to support the I-CAR Education Foundation mission. The $10,000 contribution to the Education Foundation Industry Partners Annual Fund will support many Education Foundation programs that promote and enhance career opportunities in the industry. “We would very much like to thank GEICO Insurance for their support of the I-CAR Education Foundation on a national level,” said Ron Ray, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “The successes of the Education Foundation would be far fewer without industry support. Trust me when I say that it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. It is through companies like GEICO that we have been able to fundamentally change the way collision repair is taught in our school systems.” “The I-CAR Education Foundation has persistently and successfully helped career and technical schools prepare good entry-level employees, and we at GEICO are proud to support such a worthwhile organization,” said William DeGrocco, GEICO Assistant Vice President. The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization; its IRS 501(c)(3) status allows it to accept grants and donations from government agencies, individuals, and businesses.
