Hoffman Estates, IL– November 2, 2007– The I-CAR Education Foundation would like to thank nine companies for their continued financial support over the past 15 years.

“The I-CAR Education Foundation was allowed to start from humble beginnings with the seed money provided by I-CAR,” said Ron Ray, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “If it were not for the continuing financial support of the businesses listed below, we would not have been able to accomplish everything we have to date to ensure that employers in the collision industry can hire competent entry-level employees. This list of 15 year financial supporters will grow and be recognized each year.”

The I-CAR Education Foundation would like to thank the following:

The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization; its IRS 501(c)(3) status allows it to accept grants and donations from government agencies, individuals, and businesses.

Timothy W. Morgan, Car-O-Liner Global Director – Technical Training stated, “Car-O-Liner realized from it’s inception in 1973 that education was going to be the strongest need as technology increased in the collision industry. The I-CAR Education Foundation has done a tremendous job preparing secondary and post-secondary education with the proper curriculum and tools while raising the industry awareness and support for preparing young adults to enter as employable candidates. For that reason, Car-O-Liner has supported the Education Foundation for 15 years and will continue to assist with their initiatives.”

Bill Daly, Allstate Insurance Assistant Vice President – Auto Process Mastery and Development agrees with Morgan’s remarks. “The safe and quality repair of our customer’s vehicles is a top priority for Allstate. Fifteen years ago, we recognized the benefits that the I-CAR Education Foundation provides. We continue to believe our commitment to the Education Foundation will create qualified future collision industry employees and, in turn, enhance our customer’s claim experience and provide the level of repair quality our customers expect and deserve,” reinforced Daly.

“When the I-CAR Education Foundation started, we had the opportunity to improve our industry with a better trained technician. So we feel in order to keep improving our industry we need to support and continue to support the I-CAR Education Foundation,” echoed Tim Goss, Goss Auto Body.

In closing, Michelle Shotkoski, I-CAR Education Foundation Planning and Project Manager reflected, “We would like to thank and recognize the growing number of companies that have consistently supported our mission through financial contributions for these past 15 years. We feel it is important that the industry understand which companies not only understand the critical need to address the shortage of entry-level technicians, but are willing to invest their resources to do so. This support is vital because there is still much work to be done.”

The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to securing donations that support philanthropic and collision repair education activities that promote and enhance career opportunities in the industry.
