To pledge $100 towards Eckenrode’s Urbanathlon efforts, e-mail your pledge and contact information to I-CAR Education Foundation Products and Services Specialist Stacy Zarr at Stacy.Zarr@i-car.com. Those who pledge will only be asked to donate upon Eckenrode’s successful completion of the October event. Ron Ray, Executive Director of the I-CAR Education Foundation said, “Many of the schools with a collision repair and refinishing training program operate with limited budgets. Through this outstanding effort by Mr. Eckenrode, we look forward to participation from individuals and business owners to support their local schools with tax-deductible donations. We are proud of volunteers like Mr. Eckenrode, and believe that together, we can make a difference.” “As you will see on the event’s web site, this race is beyond any triathlon or marathon I have competed in before,” states Brandon Eckenrode, I-CAR Senior Marketing Communications Specialist. “The schools, instructors, and students are the future of our industry and there is no better time than the present to show them that they are involved with an industry that is supportive of their success and professional growth. Help make my physical pain during the event, their gain and pledge $100 for your local school!” All contributions for the campaign are recognized on the I-CAR Education Foundation web site, and donors receive recognition via a framed certificate and window decal for display. Please contact the I-CAR Education Foundation at 888.722.3787, Ext. 288 with any questions. The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to attracting entry-level candidates and assist in preparing them for careers in the collision industry.
