FIRST ANNUAL I-CAR EDUCATION FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT IS A SUCCESS

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - August 16, 2002 - The I-CAR Education Foundation held its first annual golf tournament during the 2002 I-CAR International Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. The tournament began on the morning of July 18 and was followed by a dinner that evening.

The sponsors of the golf tournament and dinner were: ADP/Claims Solutions Group, Inc; Akzo Nobel Coatings, Inc.; BASF Corporation; Caliber Collision Centers; Car-O-Liner Company; CARSTAR; Chuck Sulkala; Copart; CSi Complete; FIX Auto USA; General Motors Corporation; ICI; Jeff Hendler; Lou DiLisio; Mitchell International; PPG Industries, Inc.; SCRS; Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp.; Sports & Imports; and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

Winners from the event included:

  • Long Drive Contest - Randy Ledford and Jeff Hendler
  • Closest-To-The Pin Contest - Tom Williamson, Don Askew, Ken Weiss and Doug Webb
  • Team – Jack Aho, Joe Landolfi, Tom McGary and Tammy Cockram
  • Raffle - John Webb, Brett Chandler, Chad Sulkala, Rick Palmer and Jack Aho

The tournament was held at the beautiful StoneBridge Golf Club in Salt Lake City, Utah and all of the funds from the golf tournament will assist the Education Foundation in meeting its mission statement: "To attract entry-level candidates and assist in preparing them for careers in the collision industry."

The I-CAR Education Foundation,founded in 1991,is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of entry-level employees for the collision industry.
