THE TOYOTA TECHNICAL EDUCATION NETWORK (T-TEN) PROGRAM WILL BE FEATURED AT THE 1999 I-CAR 20TH ANNUAL MEETING

(Rolling Meadows, IL) On July 23, 1999, The I-CAR Education Foundation will feature Toyota's T-TEN Program during its Annual Meeting Luncheon at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois.

The successful T-TEN Program was developed in 1986 to help meet Toyota's need for highly skilled automotive technicians. This cutting-edge program gives students the unique opportunity to learn Toyota specific aspects of auto repair while completing their post-secondary education. The T-TEN Program was strictly a mechanical and electrical program until 1998 when Toyota expanded their T-TEN Programs to include collision repair.

Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, MO became one of Toyota's first three collision repair T-TEN programs. All of Toyota's T-TEN programs must meet certain criteria, including ASE certification, quality instructors, and usage of the I-CAR Education Foundation's ADVANCE-TECH curriculum.

According to Roger Foss, of Toyota Motor Sales, "Toyota takes pride in ensuring that every T-TEN school has all the necessary tools to help students achieve their educational and professional goals. Providing them with state-of-the-art training materials, such as the ADVANCE-TECH curriculum has been a vital part of the program's success."

Since this year's Annual Meeting Luncheon will focus on industry "Success Stories," Ranken Technical College and the Toyota T-TEN Program will be featured at this year's event.

The I-CAR Education Foundation would like to thank Toyota Motor Sales for their generous support of this year's Annual Meeting Luncheon and for their support of the Foundation's efforts.

The I-CAR Education Foundation, founded in 1991, is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality and number of entry-level employees for the Collision Industry.
